The Subjects of this Window which perpetrates the Memory of the Brothers of this Lodge who made the Supreme sacrifice in the Second World War are very appropriately, Self Sacrifice & Brotherly Love.
The two central figures portray the sacrifice of one for another. The
“Torch of reason & enlightenment” is handed on to us through the sacrifice of those who fought in a righteous cause. From behind those figures the “ Tree of Life” arises, for the “Healing of the Nations”.
The two angelic figures represent Faith & Peace. On the left an angel bears a “Crown of Life” the reward for faithful service, the right hand angel holds forth a Laurel Wreath.
Various Masonic symbols have been included in the design eg. the three Columns of Wisdom, Strength & Beauty & others which will be readily recognised.
In the centre of the upper panel, the Lodge Crest is prominently displayed.
